Oso Media Priorities

So while people are missing & possibly dying, definitely dead, it seems as though the main focus was that Marcus Deyerin wasn’t getting the media spotlight.

Sounds like NW Incident management team (specifically Marcus Deyeirn ) needs a firm reminder that SnoCo is the lead on this incident. Marcus is treating Shari badly and undermining our release of information efforts. This is unacceptable. If you are able to address this with him, that would be great. If you’d like me to handle it, please let me know and I’ll be happy to do so.

These are just some of the emails I come across in my public records & it just makes me sick to my stomach. While people are buried alive, not even 48 hours after the slide they are already fighting about who gets to be in front of the cameras.

If the DEM would’ve been there instead of teaching a class on the east coast they would have a “right” to steal the show: but it’s the folks who were HERE, the one’s who stepped up ~ They have every right & even the duty to try to get news out about what is going on.

This was about the families, not knowing if loved ones were dead or alive, real human beings who really did not care about WHERE the info came from as long as they got some kind of info.

The thing I find the most disturbing is that all of the metadata has been stripped off of the county’s employees emails… On the day of the slide so folks wouldn’t know where Pennington was, even though it clearly shows he was emailing from his phone over on the east coast.

Not only did the County Council discuss a buyout of that property in 2004, FEMA also had a mitigation plan in place in 2010 to buy out the homeowners in that area, on the very same days that Aaron Reardon, was meeting with the builders & John Pennington was running interference…

Exec-this meeting request from Lynn Eshleman is a 2 hour commitment in the late afternoon-it would work well on Monday, Feb 22 or I would need to go into March. May I schedule?

Good Morning Nancy.

I would like to set up a meeting with Executive Reardon and a few of the local builders to be held at Pacific Ridge Homes. I would like to have a meeting from 3PM to 5PM. Can you let me know a couple of dates that would work for the Executive?

Thank You,

Lynn Eshleman

FEMA was trying to mitigate a buyout plan at this time, instead politics & money won out & additional homes were built anyway… or more correctly: Deathtraps were built.

So what happened to the builders? They went bankrupt… Maybe: From what I have found one of their houses were foreclosed on but they simply shut down that corporation, transferred the assets to another corporation which is a very common activity by a few corporations I have been following
