Four Year Anniversary of The Snohomish County Reporter

4 yrs… and what have I accomplished? What have I changed? Who have I helped?

Well I was pondering the same thing over the past few weeks as I laid here trying to recover from the second bout of pneumonia, in between an almost deadly tangle with the flu.

I’ve done much more behind the scenes than I have ever reported here and that’s ok because it’s helped people who’s lives would’ve been destroyed if I hadn’t stepped in.

I don’t think I’ve changed much but I have been making a pretty decent dent in the way politics as usual goes in Snohomish County and in the state of Washington but in the famous words of Ms Edelman

“You just need to be a flea against injustice. Enough committed fleas biting strategically can make even the biggest dog uncomfortable and transform even the biggest nation.” ― Marian Wright Edelman

I’ve also been able to work behind the scenes enough to get rid of a lot of politicians, and corrupt pubic servants but there are still many more to go.

Some of you may have noticed that I haven’t posted for a while, and that a good deal of my stories are missing. I have been restoring them over the past week but you may notice that February to June of 2014 is still missing.

My back up file was even corrupted so it’s been a long tedious process. I have other files saved to the clouds but because I don’t label anything and just stuff them into folders like a mad squirrel it’s going to take some time to find it.

Yep, we got hacked, after I paid for the most expensive security program you can get. Just to be sure I reposted all of the article to make sure there was no malicious code or trackers in any of the remaining stories, but judging from the stories that were removed, and were changed I have a pretty good idea who it is.

The good news is that I had most of my site backed up into the Internet Archive so if we ever go down, our stories will remain there for eternity. Bad news is I didn’t submit it til 2015. I didn’t even realize I had a problem until I noticed there was someone else signed into my site, after I did a search to find a link to a story I had done previously and couldn’t find it.

It’s also begging time again…

I’ve been out of work sick for over 3 months, and the bills are piling up. We had a GoFundMe link set up but since a certain person got their panties in a twist they turned it in as “political hate speech” so basically I set up a GoFundMe to get fake boobs, or pay for an attorney for a rapist, but I can’t make a difference in our state.

If you would like to donate please send me an email at brandia@snocoreporter.com and I will give you our forwarding address. We are at the point where I will have to shut this down if I don’t get any help, which would be much needed rest for me but seriously bad for the community. Because of the dipsticks in Olympia it’s now more expensive and even harder to get public records just to make things worse, so the games they played before are even worse then ever now.

Submit your stories

I have at times featured stories from other writers, at times just using my name, or a pen name for them. Your stories and your input are very much appreciated as most of my tips come from our readers anyway. Your safety is the first consideration because we all know how petty and vicious SnoCo sheriff’s, employees and elected officials can be, so that will be my first consideration when printing a readers story.

The other side of this is that a lot of folks know things to be true, but have no evidence to prove it. In that case if we are talking about a private citizen we have to be very careful not to cross the legal lines, if it’s a story personal to you we will consider it as well.

What I am having the hardest time in finding is commendations for police officers. It’s the strangest thing as no agency seems to want to release them. I’ve done numerous request for complaints and commendations and all I ever get is complaints and I know for a fact that there are more good cops then bad cops out there.
